The award winning Amazing Race around Adelaide is now in its third year. The one day race in and around the city of Adelaide is a great fun day out for friends and families and raises vital funds for Deaf CanDo (Royal SA Deaf Society).

Based on the TV Show teams have to solve clues and complete tasks at each pit stop with the aim to be the first across the finish line.  There are fantastic prizes awarded to the race winners, highest fundraisers and the best costumes.

The race has two classes of participants:

  • Regular teams will comprise two participants one of which is over 18.
  • Family teams will comprise of between two and four participants made up of the following:
1 Adult and between 1 and 3 Children 15 and under
2 Adults and between 1 and 2 Children 15 and under

The race has a theme Icons of South Australia  so many teams will come dressed as a South Australian Icon.  Some teams also use their costume to raise money for sponsorship and may come dressed in a corporate t-shirt.  A few enterprising teams sold off space on their t-shirt last year to a variety of sponsors!

Other popular fundraising methods were raffle tickets (we can supply you), chocolates and donations.  If  you need any further assistance fundraising check out our fundraising guide and our fundraising ideas page.
