Deaf CanDo is part of CanDo Group Charities

CanDo Group Charities has been established with the integration of CanDo4Kids - Townsend House and Deaf CanDo.
The Management Team is shared between the organisations to increase efficiencies and enable us to concentrate on better outcomes for all of our clients and their families.

Townsend House Incorporated and The Royal South Australian Deaf Society are the names of our registered bodies. Townsend House Incorporated as the centralized administration controller of the various entities has registered the name “CanDo Group Charities” as the name of the Executive function overseeing all group activities.

Day to day operations of CanDo Group Charities are run by the CEO and Executive Management team who report to The Board of Directors.

Claire Cotton ‚Executive General Manager Community Services
Claire manages the team of Community Services staff and grant funding for the group
Mark Datta ‚Chief Information Officer

All other staff work directly for either Deaf CanDo or CanDo4Kids-Townsend House.

Any fundraising for the specific registered body will be used to provide services for the specific organisation. For example, CanDo4Kids fundraising is for CanDo4Kids and Deaf CanDo fundraising supports Deaf CanDo

With the integration, both brands remain. The Executive Management Team will work under the CanDo Group Charities brand as they are working for both organisations.

CanDo4Kids and Deaf CanDo have business initiatives that have been established to assist community needs of people other than those we support. This also assists with income development for the provision of client services.
