Where will the Caper take place? Caper activities will be held at various pit stops around Adelaide and South Australia (no more than three hours from the CBD). Locations are kept secret and are revealed as the race unfolds.
What types of activities will the Caper include?Of course this is all a secret - but the race activities are similar to the TV show ‚ The Amazing Race‚ and will include a wide variety of challenges.Some will be physical, some will test your abilities as a team and others will use your problem solving skills and your collective knowledge and experience. We could ask you to do just about anything... it's all part of the fun!
What if a member of my team has to pull out before the Caper commences? You can substitute a team member without providing a reason, however the substitute must meet race requirements.To make a substitution the person wishing to withdraw needs to notify Can:Do Group in writing at

What if a team member needs to withdraw during the race?All four team members must complete the race to be eligible for a placing or prizes.However if a team member needs to withdraw during the race for medical or other reasons the senior race officials will decide whether the rest of the team can continue.

What will happen if it is raining on the day of the race? Rest assured that the race will go ahead; rain, hail or shine.
Will we need to be fit? A basic level of fitness is needed to complete the race. Obviously those who can move faster will have an advantage with some challenges, but there are other skills and abilities which can also advantage you including problem solving, local knowledge, team work and of course, luck!
How long will the race take? The race will start at 8.30am on Friday 18 October with most teams finishing by about 6.30pm on Saturday 19 October.Any teams who have not completed the race by 4.30pm will need to stop racing and return to the finish line for the presentation.
Where will we sleep? Accommodation at a secret location is provided as part of the race. The teams might not all be accommodated at the same venue and you can expect fairly basic accommodation, sharing with your fellow team mates. The level of accommodation will be determined by the fundraising level of your team.
Will we get an opportunity to socialise or network?Yes.On Friday night we will all have dinner together and there will be a group activity that will provide fun opportunities to mingle with other teams.
How do we get about during the race? Your team will need to supply a reliable vehicle large enough to transport your entire team.It is your team's responsibility to make sure that the vehicle is registered, roadworthy and the driver has a current driver's licence.
Can we use our phone for help? Yes, you can phone a friend on the race. There are no rules about the use of technology.
What do we need to bring? You will need to bring a few items with you including a camera, two mobile phones on different networks, a first aid kit, overnight items including toiletries and a change of clothes plus a road map of South Australia. We will email participants a complete list of everything they will require in the weeks leading up to the race.
What if we don't reach the fundraising target? In our previous Can:Do Caper's, teams, have found it quite easy to raise the required amount.If you fail to reach the fundraising target unfortunately you cannot participate in the race and any money raised including your registration fee becomes the property of Can:Do Group. Do we need to bring food and drink?As this is a two day race you may find that you are not at a pit stop when you are hungry so we suggest that you do have some snacks available in your vehicle.However, regular meals, drinks and snacks will be included as part of the race.A vegetarian option will be provided, however please advise the Event Manager if you have any special food requirements.
Does a team have to have four participants?Yes.To make the race fair the team size needs to be consistent.
